About the Author
Cherie has always had an interest in hair care. It began with piddling around with the hair of family and close friends and eventually led to her becoming a licensed Cosmetologist.

She practiced in that field for seven years and stopped. Cherie later began her own quest for the ultimate healthy head of hair and decided to no longer chemically process her hair to straighten it.

Research and personal experience led her to feel very strongly about African American women learning to embrace and appreciate their natural hair. She is now back into hair care but from a natural standpoint meaning, she no longer performs chemical services or services on straight hair.

Her experience both as an Internet Marketer and a hair care provider combined is what encouraged her to begin writing and publishing her own e-books.

She expresses a sincere desire to help women become self-sufficient when it comes to hair care for themselves and their daughters and that is what her series of e-books is all about!

I would personally like to extend my gratitude for you visiting this website and even considering our publications. We are here to help you break this extended "generational curse" of self-hatred towards our hair (amongst other things) as well as develop a sense of pride in learning to do your hair yourself! You see, I was a hater. I was one of those women who hated the very sight of nappy hair and especially locks...yes ME, the Bradelocz "Queen"! I was one of those saying, "Now she KNOW she needs a perm!" or "Her hair would be so pretty if she just straightened it." I was a "traditional" hair care provider who talked women (who may have only wanted a press or flat ironing) into "going all the way" and getting a relaxer. I don't boast of these things proudly...but I say them to let you know, if you're on the fence about being natural because you secretly or even openly have some issues surrounding natural hair acceptance, you're not alone...but it can change for you just as it did for me!

Yes, my views on hair have changed dramatically and I've shared all this to say, if I can release all of that disdain towards my own nappy hair as well as that of others, YOU definitely can too and Her Special Hair is a great step in that direction for you or for your child(ren)!

P.S. This should have been FIRST and FOREMOST... but I had to put this here. I know that in this day and age, more and more people are turning away from the Lord and do not believe in Jesus and that's fine. But as for me and MY house...we serve the Lord. So, I absolutely MUST give honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and acknowledge that ALL that I have, I owe to Him. My successes are not my own, but due to Him blessing me with all that He has in order for me to be able to do what I do. If my declaration is a turn-off to you, so be it...but I cannot NOT give glory, honor and praise to whom it is due!
