nat·u·ral 1. Fixed or determined by nature; pertaining to the constitution of a thing; belonging to native character; according to nature; essential; characteristic; innate; not artificial, foreign, assumed, put on, or acquired; as, the natural growth of animals or plants... [1913 Webster] Women everywhere are now learning to embrace something that we've literally hated for years...our natural hair and all that comes with it...the kinks, the fuzz, the coils, the poof...ALL of it! What is it about our kinky, coily tresses that puts such an awful taste in our mouths...so much so to the point that we actually applied one of the harshest of harsh chemicals or a smoking hot metal comb to our hair just to alter it and change the very chemical make-up of it? It goes very deep my sistas, but not so deep that we cannot heal from the wounds and begin to love, cherish and proudly wear our God-given crown. Many have already began to heal and many have healed from those deep-seated wounds of our early childhood - the "cuts" and "bruises" to our egos that came from the very ones that loved us the most...the ones who pressed us and relaxed us (although there is nothing relaxing about a relaxer) and told us how much prettier we were when our hair was "done". But they have the same wounds and some go back to the MAIN source and root of it all...to find out more, I highly suggest reading "Hair Story : Untangling the Roots of Black Hair in America" We're All About DIY (Do It Yourself) Much respect goes out to sisters (and brothas) who are making a living providing hair care services to others. Salons, shops, pro stylists and "kitchenticians" will always be around, no doubt...but there comes a time in every woman's life when she just needs to learn to take care of it herself and not depend (key word here) on anyone lest she risk looking "hit". We should all know at least the basics for ourselves as well as for our children and THAT is precisely what CGNH is all about ...helping to empower you to do it yourself, FOR yourself! I feel very confident in my products and services and I think that you will too! Check out our entire line of natural hair e-books and other products!
